On June 2, 1931 West Annapolis Volunteer Fireman David Wallace Hambrock was working in his position at the Farmerís National Bank when he and 2 colleagues were summoned to duty for an ambulance call. Fireman Hambrock ran to get in the ambulance and head to the call. As they approached the W.B.& A. tracks at Cedar Park, they slowed down to see if any cars were coming. When they continued their response, they realized that Fireman Hambrock had collapsed. They continued on to the hospital where , sadly, Fireman Hambrock was pronounced deaceased. Fireman David Wallace Hambrock was 33 years old. Number of years served is unknown at this time.
