LAMBERSON, James E.
Chief James E. Lamberson responded from work directly to the scene of a working house trailer fire in Frostburg reported to have children trapped. Upon arrival, Chief Lamberson, along with Frostburg Fire Department Firefighter James McMorran, entered the burning trailer and rescued 2 children. After safely bringing the child he had rescued out of the burning trailer, Chief Lamberson collapsed having suffered a fatal heart attack. He was transported to Miner's Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Chief James E. Lamberson, age 31, had served for 10 years.
