OVERMAN, Jr. William W.
Firefighter/EMT William W. Overman, Jr. responded with the Herald Harbor V.F.D. for a report of an odor of smoke in a residence. This was Firefighter Overman's very first call as a firefighter. A few minutes after Herald Harbor's fire engine arrived on location, Firefighter Overman walked to the rear of the engine and collapsed. He was transported to North Arundel Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Firefighter/EMT William W. Overman, Jr. was 44 years old and had served 3 years.
