PHELPS, Sr. Howard N.
While on duty at the fire station, Firefighter Howard N. Phelps, Sr. suffered a heart attack and was found by fellow firefighters in the station's watch room. He was transported to Kimbrough Army Hospital in cardiac arrest. All resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful. Firefighter Howard N."Hallie" Phelps, Sr. was 54 years old. He had served the AACoFD for 24 years and the Odenton Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years where he had earned Life Member status.
