While responding to a Box Alarm, Engine overturned when a dog ran out in front of the apparatus. The horses shied to the right. Mr. Schaeffer dropped the left rein but continued to pull at the right which caused the horses to pull further to the right and the right wheel slid into a 4 foot deep ditch. Schaeffer was thrown from the seat striking his head on the sidewalk.
