GOONAN, Joseph B.
Assigned to Engine Co. 7. Responded to trash fire as well as utility pole which traveled to roof of old building. While inspecting roof, Lieutenant Goonan lost his balance, fell head first to the ground, and was rendered unconscious. He died 2 hours later at Mercy Hospital.
