BOWEN, Donald A.
Deputy Fire Chief Donald Bowen was riding officer on Truck 2 responding to an accident on Long Beach Road. Truck 2 was southbound on Rt. 4 in an area of road that was undergoing major construction and had no shoulder. A front wheel of Truck 2 ran off the pavement,causing the truck to overturn and roll several times, fatally injuring DC Bowen. Deputy Chief Donald A. Bowen was 45 years old and had served for 28 years.
