OSBURN, Patricia A.
In the early morning hours of Saturday May 26, 2018, while rendering care to a patient being transported to Calvert Health Medical Center in a North Beach VFD ambulance, Rescue Captain/EMT Patricia A. Osburn experienced a medical emergency. Upon arriving at Calvert Health Medical Center, the back doors of the ambulance were opened and Rescue Captain Osburn was found unresponsive, having suffered sudden cardiac arrest. Sadly, all resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful. Patrician Ann Osburn joined the North Beach Volunteer Fire Department Oct. 31, 1999. She received her Emergency Medical Technician certification in 2000 and held the following positions: Rescue Sergeant, Rescue Lieutenant and Rescue Captain. Additionally, she selflessly served on numerous committees including fundraising, banquet, and membership, to name a few. Her dedication to the department earned her many awards including Squadsman of the Year, Top EMS Runner for several years, as well as numerous recognitions for saving lives. Rescue Captain Osburn was committed to every citizen of Calvert County .Her dedication to serving the community was immense and her influence and friendship will be greatly missed by all members and officers of the North Beach Volunteer Fire Department. Rescue Captain Patricia Ann "Pat" Osburn was 69 years old and had served 18 years.
