Driver/Fireman William B. Davis was killed when an alarm of fire alerted the horses to prepare to respond. The horses reared up causing Driver Davis to fall off and under the steam engine. He was fatally injured when the horses pulled the steam engine over him. Driver/Fireman William B. Davis was 65 years old. Number of years served are unknown at this time.
