DERR, R. Earl

On Saturday May 1, 1948, Fireman R. Earl Derr, a well-known resident of West Patrick Street in Frederick , was amongst colleagues at the Independence Hose Company when at approximately 18:15 hrs he suddenly collapsed and was dead. Fireman Derr was a lifelong resident of Frederick and a WWI United States Army Veteran. Fireman Rufus Earl Derr was 57 years old. Number of years served are unknown at this time.
