TURNEY, David
Firefighter/EMT David M. Turney got back from a fuel spill call and went on to the Garrett County Central Alarm where he worked as a dispatcher. David was working alone in the dispatch center when he suffered a massive heart attack. When fellow firefighters could not reach him by phone or radio, the door to the dispatch center was broken down, and David was found at the dispatcher console in cardiac arrest. He was rushed to Garrett County Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Firefighter/EMT David M. Turney was 50 years old had served for 27 years.
