FINAMORE, Nicholas C.
While performing his duties as Chief of the Allentown Road Volunteer Fire Department, including attending meetings and responding to fire & EMS emergencies, Chief Nicholas C. Finamore became ill and on December 30, 2020 presented with symptoms resembling an upper respiratory infection. He subsequently tested positive for the COVID-19 virus and on January 1, 2021 he was admitted to the hospital. Sadly, Chief Finamore passed away from complications of the COVID-19 virus on January 5, 2021. Chief Finamore was a devoted public servant with many decades of combined career and volunteer experience & service. Throughout his career, he earned numerous awards & Unit Citations for heroic actions, including the Gold Medal of Valor. Chief Finamore was also a proud Veteran of the United States Army where he earned the Presidential Meritorious Service Award.Chief Nicholas Charles “Nick” Finamore was 75 years old and had served the citizens of Maryland as part of fire/EMS service for over 52 years.
