MANGUM, Justin R.
December 16, 2002 At approx 04:15 hrs, EMT/Firefighter Justin R. Mangum was responding POV to the scene of a motor vehicle accident. Tragically, he lost control of his Chevrolet pickup truck, crashed into a row of trees, and was fatally injured. EMT/Firefighter Mangum was an active member of both the Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department. He was the first Line Of Duty Death for St. Mary's County. EMT/Firefighter Justin Robert Mangum was 20 years old and had served 2+ years.
