KILLIAN, John T.

Box 185 sounded for a dwelling fire at 3202 Hudson Street. Firefighters made an interior attack and were on the first floor battling the flames when part of the flooring collapsed into the basement inferno. Fellow firefighters immediately rescued the burned men from the dwelling. Tragically, when Lieutenant John T. Killian (Engine Co.No.51) was rescued, he was unresponsive and not breathing. He was transported to Francis Scott Key Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Lieutenant John Thomas Killian, Jr., was 51 years old and had served for 26 years.
