ADELMAN, Jacob

November 27, 1874 Box No.6 sounded at 06:05 Marburg Brothers Tobacco warehouse, Charles and Barre Streets ,was afire. A curing dryer had upset on the top floor of the 4 story brick building. Pipeman Jacob Adelman was taking the hose pipe to the roof of the adjacent building, when he mistepped, fell from the roof top to the ground below, and was critically injured.He died from his injuries on November 29, 1874. Pipeman Jacob Adelman was 28 years old. Number of years served are unknown at this time.
